Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Programme is basically a unique programme offered by the Government of Malaysia for foreigners and expats worldwide who wish to apply for a 5 years (renewable) long term pass in Malaysia. The programme is open to citizens of all countries recognized by Malaysia regardless of race, religion, or gender.

Programme has been reactivated with several amendments made to the policy:
Malaysia’s government has confirmed the planned changes to the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) in June 2024. The MM2H is a residency scheme that allows foreigners to live in the country on a long-term visa.
Key changes to the program include the introduction of a three-tiered system, namely, Silver, Gold, and Platinum as well as the compulsory purchase of a property and hold it for 10 years.
Further, the government has also introduced a new category of visas for residents in financial or special economic zones.
Applicants of the MM2H program is classified in three tiers:
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
Each tier differs from the other in its fixed deposit requirements as well as the length of the visa duration.

What is the definition of add-on dependent(s)?
Add-on dependents are as follows, and the pass is issued to the person who is connected to the main applicant/principle:
- Spouse of main applicant.
- Children below 21 years old (biological / stepchild / legally adopted) of main applicant.
- Common- law wife.
- Disabled child regardless of age (Letter of confirmation from the medical specialist / General Practitioner).
Social Visit Pass (Long Term) -eligible category:
- Children 21 years old – 34 years old (biological / stepchild / legally adopted) are eligible for Social Visit Pass (Long Term) with the condition: Ø Single and unmarried.

When Can I Withdraw My Fixed Deposit?
Withdrawal of 50% from the fixed deposit after one (1) year is allowed for the purpose of purchase of real estate, medical and education.
How Long Do We Have To Actually Be In Malaysia?
Must reside in Malaysia for at least 90 days in a year (cumulative) must be met either their participant or a spouse. The accumulative days will be calculated during the next renewal of MM2H pass.
